The Bear Fair Is Back — April 25, Centennial Park

Last June, upwards of 200 Creston Valley residents gathered for the first-in-a-while Bear Fair — and the response said it all. People came curious and left confident. The conversations, the demonstrations, the shared experience of learning together — it was a day our community needed.

We're back for 2026, and this year the focus is clear: bears are in our backyards, on our trails, and in our neighborhoods. Do you know what to do?

The Bear Fair is not about fear. It's not about blame. It's about knowledge — practical, useful, confidence-building knowledge that every Creston Valley resident deserves to have. Whether you're a longtime local or new to the valley, understanding how to act, how to react, and how to go about your day safely alongside bears is something that matters to all of us.

This year's event features live bear spray demonstrations using inert spray so you can actually practice, expert speakers, interactive educational booths, food vendor, a DJ, fun and educational program for all ages.

New in 2026 — a volunteer neighborhood attractant audit on the morning of the event, bringing real local data back to the community the same day.

Free. Fun. Informative. A must-visit Creston event.

April 25 — Centennial Park. See you there!
