Wet Boots, Good Roots: Upper Balancing Rock Trail Work Bee Re-cap.

On Sunday, April 12, thirteen volunteers laced up their boots and headed into the hills — mist, drizzle, and all.

Conditions on the upper Balancing Rock / Creston Mountain Trail were what some would generously call refreshing and others might simply call wet. Either way, the crew didn't flinch. From Skunk Cabbage Swamp to trail end, the work got done, and everyone made it home in one piece.

It was a long day on the trail — exactly the kind that reminds us why this work matters and why the people who show up for it are so valued. Thirteen volunteers gave their Saturday to the trails we all love, and the results speak for themselves.
