Introducing Our Membership Changes — Honoring the Past, Growing Into the Future

Since our founding in 2014, the Trails for Creston Valley Society has been carried forward by our amazing founding and lifetime members—people who gave their time, enthusiasm, and financial support to build the trails we love today.

We are excited to officially rename all existing Lifetime Members to ActiveLegacy Members. Rest assured, your original lifetime membership benefits stay exactly the same—no changes in cost, no extra expectations. You’ll continue to be invited to work‑bees, AGMs, board meetings, and all TCVS events. Your voice in shaping our 11‑year‑old society remains as important as ever.

Meanwhile, we’re thrilled to be rolling out our new ActivePlus Membership soon! For $20/year, ActivePlus Members will get access to perks like early event invitations, guided educational trail walk‑meet‑ups, a members’ forum online, ID cards for retailer discounts, BBQs, and more.

If you’re already an ActiveLegacy Member, you’ll be able to stay on that level under the same $10 lifetime dues and have the option to upgrade when ActivePlus launches.

While many of the exciting new trail changes come thanks to grants — which help us cover materials, safety upgrades, trail signage, and major maintenance projects — there are essential costs that grant money typically doesn’t address. Things like insurance, administrative overhead, routine tool repairs, and general upkeep often fall outside grant eligibility. That’s where your membership support makes a real difference: it helps us keep the gears turning behind the scenes, so we can continue restoring trails, hosting events, and keeping the society stewarded for all.
