A big thank you to the over 25 volunteers who came out to help break ground on the Creston Community Forest’s new trail on Goat Mountain on Tuesday April 10.  It was a fantastic turnout, and great progress was made on the trail.  Already the trail is starting to look really good!  It will certainly be a treasured community hiking trail when finished.

Additional trail-building days are scheduled for:

Saturday April 14 at 10:00 a.m.

and

Wednesday April 18 at 10:00 a.m.

Meeting place is past Tim Hortons, on Helen Street, with parking beside the YRB yard on the south side of the street, or beside Town of Creston’s Public Works yard on the north side.

We will be continuing to prune back brush and level the trailbed. Please bring a hand-tool such as pair of pruners, pulaski, shovel, rake etc.

Thanks everyone!
