There are three grizzly bears that are potentially very dangerous between 0 km and 1 km on South Summit logging road.    When heading west from Creston on highway 3, this is the first turnoff to the left roughly 850m after the highway crosses Summit Creek.

Someone has dumped garbage and dead animal remains by the side of the road so these bears associate people and trucks with food.  Conservation officers have been advised.

People should avoid this area and take necessary precautions if hiking in the vicinity of the Summit Creek Trail.
