The high winds during the labour day weekend knocked down two large trees at Riverside Park, that fell across the river access pathway and fencing. Fortunately, no one was injured. We quickly responded by clearing the river access pathway (thanks Adam) and had a successful work bee on Sept 27 to cut up the felled trees and pile up the branches, and started work on removing the damaged fencing (thanks to the volunteers and James Wray and family). Also, we have recently installed three wooden benches and two picnic tables for the users of the park. See photos.

The park will remain open during the fall and winter. Please follow the park rules – day time use only – and get outside to enjoy the changing colors of fall.
