WE DID IT!

Thanks to the outpour of support from the community, Trails for Creston Valley Society purchased the riverfront parcel of land just off Highway 21 by the Goat River bridge.

Further to the information gathered at our celebration on Oct 27th this is what we have been working on.

A Riverside Park Development Committee was formed in November and has been hard at work to design the park layout and infrastructure requirements based on input from the community.  The Riverside Park Site Plan was approved by TCVS Board on January 8th, and now the next step is Agricultural Land Commission application for “non-farm use”.   Once this is approved, we can start developing the infrastructure.  Our first priority is the parking area, located a safe distance from the highway, to provide safe, public access to our river.  Other amenities, such as washroom facilities, will follow shortly afterwards.

Stay tuned!
