The Sanca Creek Trail or Haystack, as some call it, is a beautiful but aging trail that needs some TLC, and we’re thrilled to announce a major restoration project to bring it back to life! In partnership with Recreation Sites and Trails BC, we are working hard to make this well-loved trail safer, more accessible, and better than ever—but we can’t do it alone.

Where is it?
The Sanca Creek Trail (Haystack) is located 17 km up the Sanca Creek Forest Service Road from Highway 3A, and provides access to the Kianuko Provincial Park and Haystack Mountain.

What’s Happening?
-A new 13.1-metre aluminum bridge across Sanca Creek
-Five smaller footbridges & boardwalks for better accessibility
-Trail restoration & cleanup to create a safer, more enjoyable experience
