Fern Forest
Fern Forest Trail is a peaceful, shaded trail that weaves between two well-loved routes—Balancing Rock Trail and Summit Creek Trail. Known for its dense vegetation and diverse terrain, this trail is a true hidden gem for hikers looking to extend their journey or explore a quieter path through the woods.
It is an “out and back” trail unless you plan ahead by parking a vehicle at both ends: one at the Balancing Rock parking area and another at the Summit Creek parking lot.
